Barophile, an organism at high pressure!!

Barophile is an organism which thrives at high pressures, such as deep sea bacteria .The deep-sea environment is characterized by high pressure and low temperature but in the vicinity of hydrothermal vents regions of extremely high temperature exist. Deep-sea microorganisms have specially adapted features that enable them to live and grow in this extreme environment.

As one delves deeper into a body of water, the pressure experienced increases.  The opposite happens when one climbs a tall mountain, at higher altitudes the atmospheric pressure is less than at lower elevations.  Therefore, the air is “thinner” the higher you go.  For humans, it is difficult to survive at extreme elevations or in the depths of the ocean without advanced technology

SPOILER! Who won Real Chance of Love 2 on tonight’s finale? Doll and Hot Wings! Your Real Chance of Love 2 winners are Doll and Hot Wings.

Doll of course is Jackie DaFonseca, 23, and Hot Wings is Kamille Leai, 21. Doll won Real’s love and Hot Wings was Chance’s winner.

The finale (set to air on the Wet Coast) featured the elimination of Mamacita (Michelle), 26, Sassy (Gabrielle), 22, and super hot Pocahontas (Nancy Olivares), 29. Pocahontas was the first to be eliminated in tonight’s finale after Real thought she lied to him.

George Steinbrenner will attend Series opener

George Steinbrenner will "absolutely" be  at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night, Hal Steinbrenner said last night.

"I think all these players are doing this for him," Hal said. "We want to win this whole thing for him. I think we feel like he's here being a big part of it."

George Steinbrenner, 79, has been in declining health in recent years and has not been at a game in the Bronx since the home opener in April

Nicole Kidman hits out at Hollywood portrayals of women as weak, sex objects

NICOLE KIDMAN has spoken out about domestic violence.

The Oscar winner admitted Hollywood had contributed to the problem by often portraying women as weak sex objects.

But the 42-year-old star said she was not interested in those kinds of demeaning roles and added that the movie industry also had made efforts to contribute to finding ways to end the violence.

Kidman was testifying before a US congressional committee considering legislation to deal with violence against women overseas, through humanitarian relief efforts and grants to local organisations.

Asked by Republican representative Dana Rohrabacher whether the movie industry had "played a bad role", Kidman said "probably".

She added: "I can't be responsible for all of Hollywood but I can certainly be responsible for my own career."
